Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Revolutionary Construction LLC handles information through revolutionaryconstructions.net and the MAP VIET mobile application.
MAP VIET mobile application
Location data
MAP VIET may request approximate and precise device location when you use features that need GPS, such as showing your current position, calculating a route, navigation, and creating a local incident report. MAP VIET does not request Android background-location permission and does not intentionally collect location while the app is not being used for a location feature.
Search, routing, maps, and weather
When you search for a place, your search text is sent to Nominatim, an OpenStreetMap search service. When you request a route, origin and destination coordinates are sent to the OSRM/FOSSGIS routing service. When destination weather is requested, coordinates are sent to MET Norway Locationforecast. Map tile requests are made to OpenStreetMap/FOSSGIS map infrastructure. These third-party services may receive technical request information such as IP address, request time, and user-agent information as part of normal internet operation.
MAP VIET uses these services to provide map display, place search, directions, and weather. We do not sell location data or search information.
Information stored on your device
MAP VIET stores certain information locally on your device using application preferences, including app settings, saved-place identifiers, recent trip history, and community incident reports that you create. A community incident report may contain a report type, the location at the time of the report, a timestamp, and an optional note. In the current version, community incident reports are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to a MAP VIET server.
Trip history is maintained locally for app functionality and can be cleared from the app. App data can also be removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app, subject to Android device behavior and backups you control.
Permissions
MAP VIET may request location permission, internet access, vibration, notifications, and wake-lock functionality as needed for navigation, alerts, map/network services, and keeping an active navigation session visible. You can deny or revoke optional permissions through Android settings, although related features may not work.
No MAP VIET account
The current version of MAP VIET does not require a user account and does not ask you to provide a name, email address, or phone number inside the app.
Third-party data services
MAP VIET uses OpenStreetMap data and related services including Nominatim and OSRM/FOSSGIS, and uses MET Norway for weather. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy practices. MAP VIET displays attribution for map and data sources where applicable.
